We see empowering chess improvement as a personal and invested process. Everyone is unique and has unique goals, backgrounds, strengths, weaknesses, and personal stories. Chess improvement is not a one-size-fits-all journey. The GRCC Learning Academy is dedicated to offering a tailored and personally relevant improvement plan. Whether that is through participation in a few classes or consulting with us to achieve your goal, we want to equip you to succeed!

Community & Active

There are lots of resources in the chess world. There is also lots of advice. We take the best of our experience and combine them with a personalized plan to help you succeed. Through membership at the GRCC and with our Learning Academy we can help you succeed with a relevant understanding of you and your experiences in chess. We combine that with a stable community around you to make for a rewarding effective learning experience.

Learning is most effective when it happens in the community, through educators who know you, and when you are actively involved in the process. The GRCC Learning Academy wants to put you into a growth mindset and watch you flourish.
