This league is for active GRCC members and will offer rated rapid play from March-August. It will be hosted the first week of the month each month.
How does it work?
Each first week of the month we will host a G/10+2 rapid event. It will be USCF-rated and will be four rounds, open style with accelerated pairings. On top of being USCF-rated we will be tracking points across across league play.
Players may enter on-site by 6:50PM each week the event is played. They will be open events with accelerated pairings. This will even out the competition so that higher and lower rated players have a chance to compete for the league-long prize.
Point System?
Win=3points
Draw=1point
Loss=0points
After each event the standings will be tracked below. The winner will receive $75 and be crowed league champion for the year. Top U1300 player will be awarded a free GRCC year-long membership.

If a player scored four wins each week a perfect winner would total 72 points.
